Own a 73 IH 1110 with 392 V8. Taking entire front end apart to repaint/restore engine, engine bay, inner fenders, etc.
contemplating whether or not to remove the intake and replace the gasket. As long as I have it torn apart it seems like the right thing to do, but I know I read somewhere that it can be difficult to get a good seal on the intake of IH engines using new gaskets?
should I leave it alone if I don’t suspect a problem? The vacuum readings are a little on the low end, but other than that I don’t know that the gasket needs replacement?
appreciate any tips or thoughts.
thanks
