I just bought a 77' Scout II Traveler with a 74' International 392. I don't know what transmission it had but I presume it's am open tranny from that time, it's a 3 speed manual.
1. Going from neutral to 1st when at a stop often requires I slam the stick back, if I just try to push it into gear it feels like the gears aren't meshed.
2. Shifting down unless I get to a very low speed just grinds the gears. Is there supposed to be a clutch brake?
3. Clutch is noisy, maybe just some WD40?
