72 1010 Rotors

I have a 72 1010 Travelall that has front rotors. I will take them in to be turned this weekend, but couldn't help but look into replacements in the event that they cannot be turned. Is there anywhere I can get rotors and have to sell both of my arms to get them:mad:
 
That would depend on what they are from. As far as I know IH started using disks on the d series in '74. There is a company that sells a conversion kit for IH 1/2 ton axles.
 
This one is a 72 and from what I've read, some 72's have rotors

I will be ordering my rotors this evening after work. In taking apart my brake system, I have noticed that the brake lines are not coming apart very easily at all. Fittings are rounding off and so tight that they are not coming off.

As I know I am not the only one with this issue, does anyone know of a shop that makes lines specifically for our trucks? I am looking to just replace all the lines, but cannot find a company that builds them and ships them to me.

I assume you're speaking of the hard lines. The flare nuts should be manipulated with a flare nut wrench. An open end plus a very educated and cautious elbow is alright when everything is fresh and clean, but when you're dealing with 45 year old rusty fittings, they're likely to round off as you've found out. Pre-treating with a quality penetrating oil such as kano kroil sometimes helps in the freeing process. There is no pre-bent hard line kit for the IH full-size trucks. IHPA offers a kit for the sii's, but the dimensions are too short and narrow to work in a full-size. If you can get your originals out without destroying them too badly, you might have some luck with a local brake shop making you some replacements using the old ones as a pattern.

Thanks! I tried and applied oil for 3 days straight and they wont break loose. I found a local shop that has the capabilities to build new brake lines. I just need to bring the old ones so we can match them up. My resources here in alaska are very limited
 
Well, if you're confident in the shop's ability to reproduce correct replacements, cutting them as close to the seized fitting ends May be your best bet. Any fitting that is coupled directly to a flexible hose that you're planning on replacing anyway could be cut on the hose side to keep the hard line intact. Have you tried disconnecting any of the fitting ends that go into either the front or rear distribution block? Have you got vice grips that you could cinch down super tight onto the nut rather than just an open end wrench that just rounds them off?
 
Yes sir I have. The vise grips just grind the nut down even more. I am going to have the shop make me new lines from the master cylinder, to the calipers. Only option I have left that I can think of.
