Just bought a 1964 Travelall. It has a v8. Can anyone tell me how to determine which size v8 it is?
Thanks!

You can do it yourself.
Look at the engine block in the area indicated in the red circle on the attached photo.

My cousin has a '67-800 Scout, his motor is painted that same yellow, under neath the po's red paint. Also on looking for motor size, you can tell by head #'s under valve cover and on under side of the head. Jeff

True, for the cylinder heads.

I indeed found the number stamped on the engine…but now am more perplexed…"3919". What does that mean. At first I thought it just said 391…but then I saw a fourth number peeking out. 3919.
What does that mean?

I think it means you're looking at the wrong number. If there aren't any other numbers, then the engine is probably a 266. Not all 266 engines were stamped on the engine id pad from what I've heard.
