What is this?

Hey ya'll

ok, diving now into the electricals of by 74 s2. Again, it all came to me in buckets and boxes.

This thing was attached to the wiring harness(kinda). So what is it? Regulator(I thought that was fixed to the fuse board)

perhaps it's the flux capacitor?(if so, what happens to my Scout if I get it to 88 mph) - can they go that fast?

That appears to be aftermarket. Possibly for rfi suppression? Are there any numbers etc anywhere on it?

No numbers whatsoever. It looks like the top might have had a label on it at one time. But nothing now.

Rfi...radio frequency interference. Perhaps some wider angles including the destination points of those wires might be helpful.

Yeah more detailed pictures would be great huh. I keep asking the po for them too.

I got this Scout in pieces.(a lot of them) this was one of the pieces. Not connected to anything. Cool huh?

I think the general opinion is that it is not original equipment and I agree. At this point I would say don't worry about it. It does look like some rfi I have seen so it would be for the radio or cb. Your Scout should run without it.
