Hi

I have removed the hard-top, and was planning to put the original soft-top back on, but I am affraid I disgarded the rails to mount the soft top to the windowframe (see pics). Is this part still avalaible, any other solution?

Does someone have some pics how to fasten the soft top properly, mine is at the end of it's life but I have to make due with what I have.

Thanx!

Your softop isn't original to the Scout. It was an aftermarket item. Kayline, the company which produced those tops went out of business years ago. For those door frame pieces, you just need to drill a large enough diameter hole on both the driver and passenger side of your windshield frame to fit the piece into. Easy fix there.

Thanx.

What could be a solution for the window frame? Can't get it to fasten there, was thinking of buying a 'bikinitop' which has this windscreen hardware but would it also work for the kayline?

Edit: been looking at the 'softtopper' version. Think I will buy one, will IHOnly sell these? Any experiences out yet?

I have the softtopper, its seems pretty nice so far, had it around maybe 6 months. I installed in a few hours, and it looks great, havent had its windows on much though, in this 100+ oklahoma temperatures... I do work for a guy that owns offroadgears.com, and he sells softopper, so if you guys do not have somebody to order thru, and dont want to go direct, he can sell them to you... Just let me know, I definitely reccomend this top, and less $$ than the competitors tops in the past

Talked to a guy named Bob at softtopper, costs a 140 usd to ship it to norway. Roughly a 1000 usd totally (before taxes to norway). Still a lot cheaper than other manufacturers, will order soon.

Um, we sell softopper soft tops too so no need to send our customers down the road to another shop.
