those aren't my pictures. My hubs are still full on dually style. I an consulting with terry on making mine look like the hubs in the picture.... If it was up to me alone, I'd be using a torch and a hand grinder and in the end I would kill a bus load of nuns. Terry is going to make sure I don't kill any nuns.
So those are to turn a dually axle into a regular axle?
Then wouldnt those hub bodies stick out really far into the center of the wheel?
question 1) yes.
Question 2) no -- you end up with regular hubs.
The dually hubs are the same overall size as the single wheel hubs -- the process shown just eliminates the cast in dually offset. When you remove the dually offset you end up with a single wheel hub. The locking hub and stub shaft are all the same for both drw and srw trucks....
Ford or dodge used a bolt on dually wheel spacer - so if you have one of those you just unbolt it and you have a single wheel hub -- Chevy didn't make things that easy....![]()
