Nor Cal Scout Annual Rubicon Run

is the plan the same as usual, loon to buck, then back out?

If all goes good ( no major damage) I would not mine doing a day run to the springs and back. I've never been on that part of the trail. I guess it all depends on how busy it is that weekend.

We have done that before. Sounds good.

Is the marlin crawler thing that weekend again?

If so there probably will be some traffic.

Sean are you bringing the new baby?

Just searched pirate and it looks like there are going to be a few different things going on sept 10-13

norcal broncos 10 to 20 rigs
jeepster commando club 10 to 20 rigs
marlin roundup 100 to 150 rigs

Dude, it's the same weekend every year.

Not this time. Ben will be three months old and still a little wobbly in the head, but maybe next year.

I'll be wheeling if I can get this chit done on my Scout. If not, I'll be looking for a ride.

Yea the trail can get a little bouncy in some places even for those of us with stable heads :cryin:

looking forward to seeing you out on the trail either way.

So, I'm heading up Thursday evening before labor day weekend. Working the cantina for the con. I'm gonna stay up there all week and fish and whatever till the run.

I'm out this year guys. The new shop build is currently in full swing and I can't afford to miss a weekend.

Mike - can you take a welding cart up to the cantina for me?

You guys have fun and be safe. When I'm hopefully pouring concrete Saturday I'm sure that I'll be wishing I was wheeling instead.

Pouring concrete, sounds like fun.

I talked with the cheese and he felt it would be not be fun trying to keep up with guys running 1 tons and 38" or better tires. He still has a "Scout" stock axles, stock steering, carb, etc.
I offered him a ride, but he said he already told his wife he would fix a few things around the house. Like you I'm sure he would rather be on the con.

I know silver Scout junk is not ready as he just pick up some stock springs on the way home from the cantina but might be riding up with randy.

I still can figure out how rock tractor drives 25-30 mph on the con and everything is not falling off his rig.
