I sent rob willson [gotshirtz001] An inquiry about black t-shirts/white print using marty’s design. Waiting for his reply. Rob is doing the rallye shirts this year.

we can add an IH for an extra screen.

Here are rob's prices based on 2 dozen purchased. He will deliver them to one of our dinners. I think we can round up enough cash and buy a couple dozen. I will probably take 2 xxl’s.

Is this something we are going to inventory? Will this be the beginning of having a “bank account”.

One color front
two color back

waiving the setup fees...thank you

$10.50 + tax for sizes s-xl
$12.00 + tax for xxl
$13.00 + tax for xxxl
$14.00 + tax for xxxxl

Edit- single price $12.50

This cool.

Is it going to be one sided with both things on the front or back, or two sided?

If two, how?

My vote is the map/bay on the back (big) & the IH on the front breast/pocket (small).

However they turn out, put me down for 1 l (or xl depending on how they run/if they will shrink).
Let me know who to send a check, cash or whatever to.

That blows my quote out of the water!
I say we go for it. I'll take 2 xxl shirts. ("texas small")

inventory? Bank account? I don't know... Next thing you know there will be dues and rules and stuff. Have you looked at our bylaws lately? Besides, who would volunteer to be treasurer? Ooops, that sounds like a club officer. I don't know, I just don't know. :smile5:

I think a simple passing of the hat is in order. :icon_idea:
when's the next meeting?

How ‘bout this:
Determine a selling price: one for hand delivery/pick-up and one for usps.
Post this up on the forum. A pdf of the shirt order form will be available.
Time wise, people have 30 days to send a check. Give a 3-4 day grace period before placing the order.
What people buy is how many we order.
Six week time frame – from initial posting to first deliveries.
this is a one-shot deal. This phrase must be emphasized. After the first run is complete and it turns out that more people want the shirt, I guess we could always do it again.
Who knows, if this works, the next time we could get some hats, beanies, monogrammed jackets…lots of stuff out there that can get personalized.

I hear ya marty. The shirts are prepaid; that’s the same as passing the hat to me. For the most part, this is a hassle-free and economical way of obtaining personalized products for our group.

I know what you are getting at and it’s all about intent. I think we’re good to go. We don’t need a treasurer; we need some temporary bookkeeping.

However, we do need someone to receive the checks and pay rob when ready.

first draft of opening post. Any suggestions?

we all knew it was a matter of time before we’d buy t-shirts and I’m told that time has come. The babs t-shirt will be the black haines beefy-t. Marty drew a large babs logo for the backside and a small IH on the front breast pocket. Sizes: small-thru-3xlarge.

Price depends on how the shirts get to you:
if it’s picked up at a dinner, etc - $12.50 each including tax.
If we mail it in a usps envelope/box - $12.50 each + $4.95 mailing
this will be a “one shot deal”. The total number of shirts ordered is exactly how many shirts will be purchased from rob. So in the end, there will be no inventory and zero dollars leftover.

All shirts are prepaid. The closing date for ordering is August 1, 2009. There is a pdf of the order sheet. Fill it out and mail your check to the return address. There will be a 6-week time frame from the initial thread posting to when we pass them out at the classic diner and begin mailing. It has the potential of being a crowded night.

I hope that's not the final copy that is going to the screener. I must say that I like the first version with the 800 more than the one with the pickup. The pickup and the Scout II look too similar. Besides, IH pickups are a lot more generic looking than an 80 or 800. I think that the first version pops for anyone who knows ihs.
I only made up the second version at cary's suggestion. Just to see how it would look. I was hoping to get the perspective of the pickup more "coming towards you" so that I could add it to the original image as if it were driving over the bridge. It didn't come out well, so just replaced the 800 and sent cary a copy.

If it comes down to a vote, I vote for the first version. What about all of you?

Marty
