I have a 1966 travelette 1200a (see signature) that came with the 05003 s-3 steering gear. It has a power stereing kit, either factory and not listed on the line setting ticket or dealer-added. It consists of a valve body in place of a solid drag link on the driver's side, and a hydraulic cylinder on the passenger's side.
Is there a p/s steering box (I.e. From a square body pickup or t'all) that would bolt in? At tis time I'm just searching for alternatives and considering my options to this rather unusual (at least to me) p/s system. I don't want to make this too big a project right now that would involve replacing the steering column and etc., but down the road I would consider it.
I understand also that the "big 6" lug pattern will be an issue in the not too distant future. I'm seeking recommendations for a workaround in that department too.
I thank you for your input!
