Been waitin' ta see what kinda protein pops outta the holes this year ta throw on the aldersmoker...looks like we be gonna do sea kittens this time since that really gits them peta shorts inna wad.

And I promise...sea kitten don't even come close ta tastin' like freerange organo-chikin!

Sea kitten run in tha mckenzie is early this season, we been seinein' 'em for two weeks now, tha big ones we snag with a paira treble hooks.

Sea kitten ribs is real tastee, most special tha ones what fed on crab off astoria bar.

Come up early, stay late... Jes' go home in time fer mundy work hours! Them sea-kits will come off tha smoker arount 2pyem. Bring chairs or milk crates what fit yore butt.

Aldur smoked sea kittens are the best with a shiner bock beer. I don't suppose you have a hidden case of that laying around?

Nope, jes' that local crap...ain't tha same as shiner though! I suppose ya kin bring at least one bottle home wif ya from lockhart though! I kin have onena week...if I save up for three months I kin have a pardee in my haid!

And linda's ribs (her hawg ribs not her personal bones!!) are just as "right" as anythin' I can smoke! Don't know where she lernt that skill??? Dave sez maybe in home ec??

I promise not ta throw no cottonwood on the smoker...this crap is stinkin' now like two day upchuck. This year will be mixed apple and alder.

There's plenty cottonwood firewood for anyone who wants ta take sum home, ya can burn one chunk of cottonwood with ten chunks of guud stuff!

She must have that natu'l born skill then. The 1st body class I went to at your place, I gotta good dose of her home brewed pickles. Man, I just couldn't get enough. She did send me home with the recipe.
 
For those who would like to caravan from the north, ihgramp will be leading a trip from silverton on the scenic back roads. Info here.

If you want to caravan down the non-scenic I-5 freeway, linda and I will be at the santiam rest area south of salem at 10am.

Hopefully grampa lernt ta duktape tha lid on tha beanpot. And set tha pot insida 5 gallon paint buckit bungeed to his offhand laig.

Them beans is dam guud when he scrapes 'em off tha rotten floor though. I jes' hate ta see 'em go ta waste when they run through the rotholes and out on tha roadbed.

Late? How can you be late when the top is off of the IH and your cruisin the scenic route to maybenville? We will leave the homeplace in silverton at 9:30 and take in a covered bridge or two and hit marcola by 11:00. If you need help findin us just call 503-930-9581 and we will look for you. See ya then.
Yes mayben. The beans are on. No duct tape but this time I have a wide base pot.
 
I had a most excellant time and want to thank Mike and kathy for opening up their home. We had wonderful weather for entire day, the company and food could not be beat. Even worked out a little timing issue on Mike foster's new engine and got him some power back. Thanks again for such a great day.
 
A big thanks to Mike and kathy. We had a fantastic time. The food and the company were great. It's always nice to see a bunch of binders in one spot.
 
Couldn't have been a better gathering of the tribe!!!

Thanks to all for the great grub spread again this year! And steve stayed late cleanin' up all them pie scraps!!!

Now this shot is definitely unique amongst all the IHSTO documentation...the gurls hiked over to Tom's nursery behind leaburg store and wiped him out!!! Today I'll go over and collect my commish!
