If I was going to replace the driveshaft on my truck with one having a cv. Since I have only 2 or 2.5 inches of lift right now would the long travel shaft work for me but still be able to be left and used if I do a reverse shackle or SOA setup down the road.

Since our long travel driveshafts have approximately 14" of travel it should be fairly easy to set it up to work for either setup.

So if I set it up for how it is now, I'd be able to use it again if I went rs or SOA? Thanks again for your help Jeff.

you should as long as you build it with whats in store for it in the future.
Ok thanks... As soon as I get the cut and turn in I'll figure out what I am going to do from there. Right now with the lift, shims for caster correction on the leaf packs the u-joint at the transfer case makes some noise as it rotates when the hubs are locked in and the case is in 2hi
