Why does it look like your one blade is bent and the rest are flat? Will this bring it closer to the engine even if I currently do not have a fan clutch?

I took the spacer out yesterday to see if maybe I could run the fan without it but the fan would chew into the belts. I lowered the shroud similar to the image posted by Scott H above. This centers the fan better in the shroud. I also found that a couple of the fan blades were slightly bent. After straightening the blades, I put the fan back in with the spacer and it looks like I may just have about 1/16th of an inch between the tip of the fan and the shroud. I may have to try that low profile clutch to see if it will give me a bit more clearance without sacrificing my belts.i can only make a guess. i see there is a spacer in-between your fan and water pump. you could take a rough measurement of that and compare it it the clutch measurements
have you ever measured your fan ? ever wonder if that is the correct fan for a scout ?
i have the same radiator and i to went years with a "fixed " fan (no clutch) and i never took a bite out of my shroud and i do a ton of 4 wheeling. once slammed a rock so hard i broke the radiator. but the fan and shroud never made contact even when that happened.
Because it was!Why does it look like your one blade is bent and the rest are flat?
That section is blocking the core anyway, cut away.Because it was!I fixed that yesterday. I am not touching the shroud now but still way too close.
