Scout 800 Suspension Recommendation

Good morning.

I was looking at different suspension kits for my 800 build. I am thinking in order to remain SUA I'll have to piece parts together to create what I want. I'll be swapping in an 5.3 LS, and axles are going to be Scout II D44s.

My goal was to remain SUA and run a true 33" tire on my 800 build. Something along the sizes below.
285/75R17 = 33.8x11.2R17
295/70R17 = 33.3x11.6R17
275/80R17 = 34.3X10.8R17

Is there a recommended for IHPA products for this. All I read is to put on the CPT 2.5in kit, but I do not believe that will get me where I need for my tire size.

Thanks for the help.

We have all sorts of ways to lift your Scout higher either by modifying our existing CPT lift kit or running a completely different set of springs and hardware. I would suggest calling in to our retail store and talk with Michael. He can recommend a few different ways to go about this. Keep in mind the staff are pretty slammed right now due to our sale but he will get back with you. 530-274-1795

JustWingingit.....curious, I have a very similar need, I did the CPT Suspension Kit a number of years ago but looking for just a little more clearance as well with going SUA. Did you call Michael and what did he suggest? Thought I would take advantage of your newfound knowledge. Thanks, Jon

Negative Jon. You just reminded me I need to call back.

No need to crack the whip, we now have about 3' of snow up here in NE Idaho in the Teton's.....plenty of time to figure this stuff out. Needless to say, the Scout isn't the only 4WD in the household inventory. Thanks, Jon
