I won't go into details here of bashing that other shop, but I, along with a few other Scout owners I know of who have dealt with them had a not so pleasant experience with them in the past. Which is why I shop else where for my parts such as IHPA. Great service and outstanding turn around when ordering parts from IHPA
as Chad mentioned, drill out the steering knuckle. Not easily done while they are still mounted on the axle. I have done it on one of my own scouts when I used a heim joints for all the rod ends. But I did not find a need to use a z-link bar after I did the SOA.
