Time to draw up plans for May’s work day. I think we have most of the bugs worked out and should flow smoother on what we need.
Saturday in mid May?

Location –
• we can do it at my shop again.
• mocha, I think it was Mike, offered up a friends shop in the concord/walnut creek area.
• • the good – maybe more guys from the east and north bay will attend.
• • the bad – the owner of the shop doesn’t know us.

Yes, it was me.

My friend's name is cliff & I've known him since 4-5th grade.

His father had a shop for 20+ years, then retired in the early 90s.
Cliff was traveling the world & recently moved back from hawaii & re-opened/took it over from the guy who ran it in the interim.

I can talk with him more about it if we come up with some perspective dates.

Shop is called:
diablo offroad and performance

diablo offroad and performance - walnut creek, CA

I googled the address and it looks like there is plenty of room.

• will we have full access to the shop and his tools?
• if there is a problem with one of the scouts being worked on that takes longer than anticipated, will cliff stay “open” until the issue gets resolved? I’m thinking of stacy’s truck leaving my shop at 10pm the first year.
• what hours will he be available on sat?
• what can we do to compensate cliff who is not an IH owner?

I think it's best if folks bring their own... If we need something that isn't brought he is cool about sharing.

10 might be late, but he hangs out late (I left there last night @7pm & they were just firing up the bbq).

all day/late afternoon to evening... Morning would be around 9:30-10am.

he won't ask for anything, but we should do something for him.
He likes beer & bbqs often. So if we feed & beer him all day he will be happy.
Maybe a few cases of beer or a small collection to cover electricity & space.

Unless he has a few customer's cars waiting to have work done, he will be helping guys work on their rigs.
He is the kind of guy that does that.

I'm coaching my son's baseball came from 8:30-10:30am.. I should be there between 10:15am & 11am (if we do it that day).

Once again, hmmm. I could see someone bending up a small project. I also assume there's a lift inside the shop.

One advantage to cliff’s shop……general parts can be delivered.

How extravagant of bbq were you thinking mm?

Mocha - what do you want to do for the bbq?

I guess we'll use cliff's grill? Is it propane? Otherwise I'll bring a bag of charcoal.

There are 2 charcoal grills. So yes on the charcoal.

Sorry I missed the meeting.
Did we pass the hat for food?
I can bring some sausages & such.

Costco run. Ball park beef franks come packed 32. I’ll get 2 packages and that should be enough???
