The wiper motor on my 62 c100 pickup continues to run when I turn the switch off. It May take 3-5 minutes before the wiper arms park.
My wiper motor has 3 wires: 1 red, 1 black, 1 green. The red and black connect to the low and high speed lugs, and the green connectes to the park lug on the wiper motor switch. Low speed energizes both red and black wires, high spped energizes one of the red/black wires, and park is energized when the switch is turned to off.
Do I have a resister on the wiper motor causing the motor to delay sutdown? Do I need a new motor? Are these units repairable?
Any help is appreciated.
