Which degree shims?

Hey all, I have a 74 Scout II with a 2.5" lift, 5" shackles, 33"tires and a Dana 30 front axle. Drives decent but does wander on the highway or rutted roads. I am planning a 44 swap in the future but would like to do shims on the 30 for now. Question is what degree should I use? 2, 4 or 6.
Thanks for the help.

With your current setup I would guess that you are approx. 2* negative castor(but I would take it to an alignment shop to find out for sure). A 4* shim would probably work best and should put you at 2* positive. Since the Dana 30 has a shorter "snout" and uses a longer driveshaft you could go with the 6* shims without the shaft from binding and get even better road manners with the additional castor.

Thanks Jeff. I think I will go with 4 since I will change to a 44 in the near future anyway. Thanks and I will place an online order.
