Good afternoon every one. The build is almost finished. What is the correct way to hook up the charcoal canister to a Holley 0-7448 2300 carb. This is a 1974 CA Scout II with 345. I replaced the OEM 4-barrel Thermo Quad Carb with the Holley 0-7448 2300, and deleted the smog pump and all related equipment.

From the liquid/vapor separator I have a 5/16" line that goes into the charcoal canister into the fuel tank nipple. I capped off the carb bowl vent on the canister since I dont have a carb bowl vent. Do I T off of the 3/8" line that goes between the valley pan/pvc to the carb vacuum port or do I T off of the Timed Vacuum Port that goes to the distributor? I tried AI and it gives me one suggestion and the next another. Thanks for all of your help. Have a Safe and Great 4th of July Celebrating 250 years of Freedom!

No, you'd want metered manifold vacuum. A Very tiny draw is all you need. Either get a restricted barb, or shove a carb jet in a hose and call it good.

Zaedster, thanks for the reply. I use this fitting on the manifold for a vacuum reading when I'm tuning the carb. It would be okay to use this same fitting redused to a 1/4" for the charcoal canister?
