Hello, i live in tahiti, here is my scout, can anyone tell me what model is that one ? engine is a V8 and year is 1978-1979 , but i dont know if it s model scout II or not ? any suggestions? thanks

That is most of a Scout 2.

To ID your engine, go to the "Gas Engine Tech" and click on "Engine ID" thread.

Could be a 304 or 345 V8 both were options. If the emmisions sticker is gone off the Valve cover that tells you displacement, there is a stamping on the block just above the fuel pump.

Otherwise order what is called a Line Setting Ticket (build sheet) through IHpartsamerica.com or straight from Wisconsin Historical Society. All you need is the original VIN #.
