What engine should I swap into my new 1210?

Recently I got a 1972 International 1210 4x4 with a t18 for free. The motor is blown and due to the inability to find a 392, I have been considering swapping in a different motor. I believe the t18's bell housing fits ford motors, but I think I'll probably do the engine and trans. I'd like to keep the hand throttle and all of those cool things. What trucks usually came with a 392 international? I'll try to find one with it hopefully.

It has 2 cracks in the block, one by the bell housing, 1 under the water pump, the previous owner swapped heads and tried to fix it, but it still leaked oil and ran like crap

Ouch, sounds like it froze. Have you looked into a 392 short block? Also are you aware that in 73 392 blocks changed to an improved cooling design.

I have not heard of the improved cooling design, but I will look into it. I have tried to find one, but I live (hence the username, Alaska) so shipping is probably going to be a pain. Probably best idea is to find an old semi or dump truck and play switcharoo. I'm more well versed with 73-79 fords , but I'm a little familier with the 392 engines

A 304 or 345 can be put in place of a 392. Buses, dump trucks, combines. Irrigation pumps.
