I found one but its way up in surrey, bc and making arrangements with someone form socal who is picking up a new pickup from the same guy to drop it buy on his way home. This deal is not for sure yet but sounds good for $150.

Is this a good one? If not what else should I be looking for? Are there any recommendations on newer ones for other trucks that May fit? My concern is that the 8foot bed on my 75 p/u has uncommon dimensions.

I believe that shell shown in the IH bed is a snugtop (aluminum version), most likely fabbed in lalaland originally.

The IH beds are not dimensionally the same as Ford, GM, and dodge of that era. So the shells were built specifically for the IH beds. The one I have had to have a filler piece mounted to the front bed rail in order for the flange to seat and seal.

The beds used on all the IH square body trucks are the same however, I.e. A "bonus load" bed for a '69 is the same as for the '75, etc.

I'd say that $150 is very fair for that shell, I'm asking $350 for my shortee fiberglas snugtop right now with no takers, but I won't drop the price either! That one looks very decent as the aluminum shells don't hold up well to abuse!

Yeah I thought that was the case. So I was right in thinking that if its not on an IH bed don't bother unless you want to do some fabricating.

Interesting I got an email regarding my nationwide search for good affordable used shell. Turns out a feller in Pennsylvania says a 79 Ford long bed camper shell fits an International bed ok. I have not confirmed this yet but sounds interesting.

Also I found one locally on craigslist that May be closer to the style I am looking for. Supposedly the dimensions are 100.5' x 72.5" on a gemsport top. As far as I can tell that's a fit. It came off a 93 f250. Kind of vintagey looking.

Do not know if the picture is accurate, but it looks like the front of the top has a "foward tilt / angle".

Aren't the back of d pickups straight?

I think it would not "match up" and have to be set back of the front bed rail -- with a piece as "filler".

Good catch. Its moot anyway the lady sold the gemsport for the Ford. Still waiting on the arrangements for that one in bc canada with the dude that is running up there to trailer a 200 camper special back to socal. Seems like this is the best bet at this point until my 150 becomes a driver again.
