Got done washing off my 77 traveler, and there was no power at the key. Got pissed drank beer and went back out here and fired once! (1) ah time. Then after all attempts I jumped the solenoid and got it fired up. I have never had this problem before. Weird problem I think! I know the wiring in the fire wall harnesses are crap but I am hoping that an off roader knows if I got a switch wet and what one? It is a 345 auto no mods to the engine or tranny....promise!! Help if you can, and I appreciate it! Ron if you can help beer is on me.

Water and electricity don't mix too well. I'd start by pulling your bulkhead connectors apart. Ensure that the contacts are clean, dry, and free of corrosion. Probe the terminals on the supply side for the presence of b+. Coat the contacts with dielectric grease and reassemble. Take your probe light inside the cab and probe for b+ at the fuse panel and column mounted ignition switch up under the dash. Turn on the juice and see what shakes loose. Have another damn beer when the sumbeesh roars to life.
