welded nut problem

So I am trying to remove the machine screws that are made to hold the bolt in bulkhead on a Scout 80 and its the first time they have ever come out. They are really rusted in and I already broke one of the welded in nuts loose. How can I can I get the others out without breaking the weld, I have been soaking them in liquid wrench but that only helped on some of them. Someone please tell me what I should do because it is not easy to get the broken nut out.

I like mouse milk. I just did my exhaust manifold bolts and they came right out. I soaked them every day for 4 days and they came right out. We also use mouse milk to decoke turbochargers on aircraft.

Very common on the Scout 80's. Get the lube of your choice on the back side if possible and remove a bit at a time. Break it loose and go back in then out. Do multiple steps like this. Some times there is nothing you can do. Drill/grind the head off and work the issue to remove the treaded portion via drilling after the panel is off.

Mouse milk is a penetrating oil specifically formulated to wick into the threads of bolts, studs or any fastener that won't come loose. It is widely available at most parts stores. We use it quite often in the aircraft industry especially when a steel plug or fitting is installed in aluminum without any anti seize. Like I said in my earlier post I soaked the exhaust manifold bolts for 4 days applying it every day and they came out with no problem.

Thanks for the help, I have been looking all over for mouse milk but still haven't found any yet. In the mean time though I managed to get almost all of them out. I broke the head off of one, is there a better alternative to an easy out because I cant get mine to bite into the steel very well.

We use mouse milk on aircraft turbo waste gate actuators as a lubricant. Aircraft spruce and specialty sells it too. As for cast iron and a bolt steel on steel is a tougher customer.

On a side note, I wonder how many mice they have to squeeze to make one bottle????:icon_xp:
