Washers for flexplate to torque converter

Hey ya'll,

I don't know what happened to my original post on this though I don't think I got any replies anyhow.

Here's my question:
do I need washers for the flexplate to torque converter bolts?
Just locktite?
Blue?
Red?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bolts used to connect the torque converter to the flex plate do not use any sort of washer. However, I do make that installation using loctite "red" after making certain that the bolt threads and the converter threads are super-clean.
