Wanted Scout II 5.25" Air cleaner base

Interesting discovery. Now that the Scout is setup with a 4bl carb, I go to close the hood and it's a no go. It seems the Scout II's use a low profile air cleaner and the 2 d series one's I have won't fit under the hood.

So does anyone have a stock air cleaner housing they want to sell from a Scout II with a Holley or tq carb??? Prefered is one with no emissions hardware. The reason for wanting a stock housing is that when fording or going through a deep puddle I've seen engines die due to exposed elements getting wet.

I've got mucho IH parts to trade or there's always the almighty $.

Yes just the base is needed. It will be a special dropped base for a Scout II. There will be a recess in the front to clear the water neck. If either of you has one that would be great.

If that's got a 5.25" opening in it May work, but let's see if a non-smog unit turns up. Thanks for the pics.

I wanted to do a diesel conversion on my Scout with a vt275, however finding one for less than $10k was an issue.
