Volt gauge help ?

Anybody ever replaced the volt gauge on there Scout, I have a 1970 800a pick up and we are having problems getting this bad boy to work. Any tips or clues would help. Thanks

That should be an amp meter not a volt meter. It's a fairly simple gauge, it just measures current going into or out of the battery. If it's hooked up properly then the meter portion of the gauge has failed. In this case you'll need to replace the gauge.

Replacing the gauge is easy. Just make sure your battery is disconnected first.
Finding where your actual problem is might be a little tougher.
