Vin Number questions/ throttle cables

I am trying to find a new throttle cable for my 73 1110 and I need to figure out the chassis # and I figured I could figure this out by the vin according to the tag I have 3q1cochbxxxxx the truck is about 80 miles away from where I work on it so I can not check the old cable and I will need it by my next trip up there accoding to the parts site there 2 types '69-'73 automatic:
h chassis #: 381534c3 (type a)
chb10001 chassis # up: 440987c1 (type b)

looking for any help thanks
 
You're vin is in the chb range. If the final five digits of your vin are 10001 or greater, then you will need the type b cable. I'm unclear as to why those numbers are x'd out in your post.
 
Yes my the x's I did bc I didnt have my title with me at the time the last numbers are 55413 so I will need the type b correct?
