I have a 345 in my 67 800- at idle after about 20 minutes it starts to act fuel starved- the rpm's drop below 500 rpm- at 600 it runs very smooth- I have to put my foot down on the gas to keep it running- the engine bay is hot and the temp is above 200- now I have not changed the thermostat in like 12 years and the upper hose is squishy - the carb is clean and new- the filters are clear and clean- after I turn it off for a minute- it fires right up and runs good- as you know the fuel line runs near that thermostat housing enroute to the carb- any ideas or is more info needed? Thanks in advance
