Vacuum Advance Compatibility and Bulk Core Exchange – 1973 IH Loadstar 392 V8

I am writing to verify the compatibility of a vacuum advance unit that I'm currently looking at. I am sourcing a replacement for a 1973 International Harvester Loadstar equipped with a 392 V8 and a Holley distributor.

The unit I am interested in provides 5 degrees of advance, which matches my current requirements. Could you please confirm if this part is a direct fit for this specific engine and distributor combination?

Additionally, I have three identical vacuum advance units that I would like to trade in. I am interested to know if you offer a core credit or a discounted price for returning multiple units. Please let me know the best point of contact to discuss a potential exchange.

Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to your response.

Without seeing a picture of the unit you have we cannot answer this for you. Please visit the thread listed below to determine which Holley distributor you have. From there you should be able to determine which vacuum advance unit you need. There are two types of Holley vacuum advances(not including how many degrees of advance they offer). One is for "straight points" and the other for "curved points or factory electronic ignition".

How to Determine which Distributor

As for your extra cores, please reach out to our parts department at 530-274-1795 and they will inform you if we are in need of any additional core units.
