I assume you mean the "air conditioning compressor" ??

there is tons of info regarding this on the I-net, kilbey ent . originated the "on-board air" system using a cci/york a/c compressor . this idea has been around ever since the original york (now cci)/tecumseh/clinton a/c compressor design was introduced around 1953 .

there are a few "right" ways to do this, and thousands of wrong ways .

search the 'net, and do some study.

Michael,

you are right, there is a ton of info out there, however as you mentioned there are a 1000 ways to do it wrong. I'm getting ready to install a york compressor for onboard air. My Scout does not have ac, but did at some point since the mount is there. This looks like a pretty straight forward install, however most of the info out on the web is for vehicles that originally didn't come with a york. Since the york came stock on the Scout, would like your input to achieve the best results. Right now all I have is the compressor.

Thanks
