Universal shackle reversal

I have a couple of questions about the universal shackle reversal kit.

What is the difference between the universal kit and the Scout II kit? Is it just the width of the spring mounts? Anything else? All the same parts included? The Scout II kit seemed to have a more detailed description and more photos.

Also, how far below the frame rail is the spring mount bolt hole?

I have a 61 Scout and am planning on putting rancho 44044 springs on the front. I'm wanting to use this kit, but just wanted a little more info before I order.

Thanks

The difference between the two kits is one is specifically for a Scout II while the universal kit is for just about anything else you would want a reverse shackle system on. The universal kit can be purchased for either 2" or 2.5" wide springs. However most 2.5" wide springs use bushings that are wider than others hence the different choices for the spring hanger or better known as the 'fang'. Take another look at the pictures as it is fairly clearly shown what parts come in each kit. And last but not least the distance between the frame rail and the spring mount bolt hole is 4 5/8".

We do include a roughly 3' piece of tube but we cannot always guarantee that it will be long enough for what you are working on.
