It was 26 when we woke up that morning! I think trooper steve stopped us to see if we had insurance and tags. But he also didn't like the lack of doors and door handles. But then he saw I was from silverton and it turns out we both knew the same gun dealer.. then he saw the ham radio stuck to the dash and started talking ham. Pretty soon he gos back to run my licenes and comes back with a trooper steve business card with a couple local repeaters written on the back. I gave him a real estate card and told him next time he was in silverton I'd buy him a drink or a doughnut and we headed back to camp....
