When I hit my turn signal it blinks so fast the light appears to be solid, however the hazzard lights are nice and steady, do you know what might be casuing this??

The hazard (four way flasher) uses a separate flasher unit from the turn signals. In other words, there are two identical flasher units present under the dash, these are hanging from pigtails or "maybe" snapped intoa bracket retained to the dash reinforcement. They are not on the fuse panel like more modern vehicles.

I'd venture that your first place to start to figgr this out is to make sure all four "turn signal" bulbs are the same number as far as their wattage rating, that needs to match so that the load on the flasher (one each side) does not exceed the rating capacity for the flasher (whether it's a "standard" flasher or a so-called hd).

Then replace the turn signal flasher, always use the "hd" version, or one of the newer "electronic" flashers of the proper rating.

Clean all light bulb sockets internally, including the contacts on the spring-loaded pigtails. While they are apart, verify the ground path for each lamp assembly as that is a major problem on these rotbucket vehicles that sit for years before being pressed into service.
