truck work day

For me April is a very busy and already booked up month. I propose we have the workday the second week of May (the 9th is a Saturday) and then go to hollister the end of the month (May 30 - 31) which is two weeks later.

Im good for the 9th. Isn't the 30th memorial day weekend?

Plenty of time for the guys to get needed parts from Jeff.

I think that will work for me. Memorial day weekend is the week before for the 30th so it shouldn't be ridiculously crowded at hollister either.

byotools? How do you want to work this

I have air, 220, floor jack, a few jack stands, bbq

first arrivals by 9

parts stores: kragens 1 mile -- auto zone 3 miles -- all parts 10 min.

Post up rsvp and work needed. Public thread soon.

I plan on being there. I would like to get someone with a 220v welder help weld up the spiders for my Dana 70. I May or May not swap out rear leaf springs, it depends if I get impatient and do it on my own. :icon_razz: once I locate some leaves that is...

See you all at the wrenching session. If not sooner.:icon_cool:[/quote]
Carry I like this one:yesnod: thanks moose
pate ill help you weld it I have a magazine article on how to do it & ill ask around about what the best typ of filler rod to use .

improvements for next time

Doc brought batteries for Craig, Mike and a few others. Craig brought gas tanks for doc. Turn this into a flea market. It's a no brainer.

Nope. Tom & coner, battery shop-forklift, thought it was cool.

I never saw that Scout that stopped at the battery shop. Big surprise for him pulling into the complex.

Really didn't see the need to tell my neighbors. I knew the fire guys on the corner would be gone for the weekend and figured that would be plenty of space, including mine. Wrong. Saturdays are generally quiet with traffic going to the battery shop and the smog guys. There’s still room to expand. Sunday would be the best as these shops are closed.
Ya know, I see a lot potential for this kind of gig. I’d like to push the swap meet end of things. I think it’s another good way of getting together. John and the grapevine chapter of scouts wests have been doing this for years.

Hay dude kinda off subject but, I think the " malt shop" concept was way cool  to bad we came into the sceen so late and missed out on that  . It would be so cool to have a place you could just go any time hang out & talk I.h. Then agin guess the forium takes its place.

Going on...

I posted the tanks in the it's free forum and this turned out to be a good time to make the swap before my wife made them into flower pots.

"bump" is this a no go for the work day I put some damage on the p/u and need to make some gas tank skids theres nothin like having a dummy as a spotter

I know you guys had access to a shop down that way last time.

But I'm willing to host it in concord some time.
That would be either for folks out in marin, sonoma, napa, sacto pittsburgh, etc. To make.

Not a huge space, (garage for 1 rig, and 2 car driveway), plus the street.

I have 2 220v outlets, a 220v mig welder, torches, drill press, and lots of other smaller tools.

Bbq, beer, and a stereo as well.

Sure. I'm in tight with the neighbors.
We can fit 3 on the street in front of the house, and there is room across the street for 2-3 more (it's the side of a house located around the corner).

It's the wife I gotta worry about.:icon_heart:
