I am trying to shoehorn a 12valve Cummins into a '73 Travelette 1310. When I acquired the truck, it appears that a previous owner had welded in a non-stock crossmember, but the seller had no information. Does anyone recognize the crossmember in this photo (below)?
Assuming that crossmember isn't already fit for a Cummins, I need to figure out how far back to place the engine. For those of you who have a 6BT Cummins-swapped Travelette, how far ahead of the front axle centerline is the front of the engine block? Otherwise, which cylinder lines up with the axle centerline? With the cab already off the truck, it's really hard to guess where to put the new crossmember.
