transmission upgrades?

This is more of looking for ideas but I have a Scout 800 with the 196 installed presently. I believe it has the t90 with the Dana 18 attached. Eventually it will get restored and all that but for now I am trying to get a plan together as to what I will do with it overall and the one thing that I am trying to figure out would be how to make it more highway friendly as my current work commute is over 100 miles round trip. I would like to put in a 5 speed if possible but unsure as to what is available if anything for it. So ideas are plenty welcome and having to fab or modify things is always welcome.
 
The easiest way is to find a warn or saturn overdrive and bolt in on the back of your spicer 18 and you're finished. No other mods other than another hole in the tunnel cover for the shift lever are needed.
