Toys for tots 2010.

Food for thought. Dave and rusty [norcal] Were talking at the rallye about toys 4 tots. Dave was telling her about our gig and she might be interested in a combined group. Stockton was mentioned as a potential rendezvous.

Just to make things interesting, why don't we have a challenge?
Let's see who can bring a bigger haul of toys.:ihih:
cary, do you think you could cobble together an appropriate trophy out of left over parts? Something to pass from club to club each year?
 
You are on to something marty. It’s got the potential. I’ll get in touch with rocktractor and present it to him.

A Christmas/IH/parts themed trophy would be cool. If norcal won, it could be displayed at ihon. If we won, at the 50’s diner??

Rusty, alias the pink princess, is the girlfriend/wife of Mike decker. Mike’s Scout had the movie icon artwork on his truck. Mike and Jeff went to high school together. The company he works for made the rallye shirt.
She used to do toy-4-tots runs.
 
I'm going to start working on the flyers soon. I need to know if I should include the NorCal Scouts logo.
Any word back from norcal?
 
Cary/or moose would you like me to get in touch with rocktractor, aloso should we contact Jeff. I think rusty and Mike hang out with Jeff, but arnt realy part of norcal. Not realy sure if that is the case but that how it sounded to me at the rally. Joe
 
I can't wait any longer. It's almost November.
Here is my first draft of this year's flyer. Let me know what you think, I.e. Corrections/suggestions.

What would you guys say to keeping it local this year? There's a fire station on argonaut, about a half a mile from the '50s diner.
Comments?

How about a meeting early in November so we can nail down the particulars? The ninth maybe?

• this would probably be expensive, but cool to do. Taking our t4t’s gig to the next level, think about getting the t4t’s flyer printed on a roll of plastic or paper? Something like – 12 or 18” x 200 feet???

What would you say was the dollar value of what was collected this year? Anyone remember about the first two years?

Too much idle time or food for thought? We make our own Christmas card jpeg and video. For reindeer we get a bunch of red scouts: Craig, cheese, rob, carl, etc. All lined up. If there is enough, two rows. Use my flat bed as the sleigh and have a bunch of gift wrapped boxes on the bed. Could be a hoot.
