Any one out there evr use a 1996 454ci suburban for towing? Mainly towing a flat bed trailer and Scout II

im thinking it would out do my Chevy 1500 with the 5.3l

just wondering on opinions....

1996 3/4 ton burb 454 and 4:10's is what I tow with. I've towed my halfcab Scout all over with it. Went down to la to buy a Scout and brought it back over the grapevine with no issues, has plenty of power. The only advice is make sure your brakes are in good shape. I have bigger rotors up front even with them a heavier load can get kind of sketchy. My trail Scout is a real heavy pig, and I won't trailer it, just doesn't seem safe. Towing capacity says it's 7000lbs, I've towed more but isn't a good idea. With a heavy load trailer brakes are a must. Here is a pic of my suburban and Scout

Hey,
thanks for the info. Iv been towing with a 2000 silverado 1/2 ton, and ran across a 3/4 ton suburban and I figured the 3/4 ton would handle the trailer better. Thanks again for the infor
