Tire size and gearing question

I've got a 1964 Scout 80 that I'm doing a frame off on. I've made some upgrades to the truck.. I've swapped in a 196 for the 152. I've also installed a saturn overdrive. Its got a t90 three speed, a Dana 27 front axle and a Dana 44 rear, with 4:88 gears.

Here's my question, what tire size should I run with.. I plan on a lot of street with some off-road driving. My overdrive drops the rpms 25%.
 
What tire size felt good with the 196? What's the engine condition? Torque/rpm range comparison? Do you know someone you can borrow tires from to test?

That is my setup too and I have a 32" tall tire. Gives me
2675 rpm @ 70 mph or 2500 rpm @ 65 mph true in od. I have the 152 and it would be happier with the 196.
 
Thanks Robert. One more question.. What tires are you running with? I'd like a classic look, but with a long wearing radial tire. Also what wheels? I've got 15" stock rims. I think I'm going to go with 16" rims, but plane steel rims like oem are expensive.
