Throw out bearing removal.

Hey guys, before I get carried away with the big guns :icon_scream: ...

How do I properly remove the t/o bearing and do I have the right replacement one? (seems I was sent a non greasable one). Is the t/o bearing just supposed to slide out or is it held by something.

It's out of a t98 going to a nv4500.

The bearing is pressed onto the collar ( that has the grease zerk in it ) the zerk only greases the collar riding on the input shaft cover.

So I need to use a puller to pop the t/o bearing off the collar (where the zerk is) then press the new one in? And does this means I have a non greazable bearing?

Usually the collar can be clamped in a vise and the throughout bearing can be tapped off with a hammer.
