Hi all, I'm new here to the site.
Here's my mistress.....
It's a 66 t-all extended raised roof ambulance, I got this from my grand pa in Nevada, it came from the test site and also worked at area 51, (it really doesn't exist) I have had this thing for about 20 years already and my g-pa past away this last Christmas I thought I'd better get out there and get it to start doing something with it...
I know nothing about these things and I plan on spending plenty of time on the site trying to find the info needed to get the parts to do the resto.
Any one know anything about these critterzzzz?

Very nice rig.
I could think of a couple of directions I would go with it.

I would think most everything would be straight IH...for whatever that's worth as IH swapped parts from model to model.

Keep posting progress pics!

Thanks,
I was intentionally going to convert this thing into a snobus and transport skiers and boarders to the slope in it, there is a seperator window behind the front seats with enogh room in that cabnet to store alot of adult bevzzzz.....but the more I researched it I found out this thing is rare, sooooo me and my wife are talking about a beefy restore, it has a v8 not sure which one 304 or 345, it has a huge a/c unit and double heaters,
an electric cluch fan and I've never seen the power steering assist like this but I'm sure it was common in these years. This t-all is extremely straight and all original except of course tires and wheels, there maybe some mods on the engine because I know that it was rebuilt at one point in the late 70's early 80's by my gramps.

Thank you! Not much progress to update on as of yet, except I am going to update the motor and some drive train components ie a cummings diesel, not sure if I'll go with 4 cylinder or 6 both should suite this application just fine. She is in the barn waiting for me take the time....:icon_neutral:
