thinking of restoring a 64 scout red carpet edition

Well I found a guy locally who has a red carpet edition Scout and I want to know what it would be worth if I restored it. The condition it is in right now is very rough and missing some parts he has it posted in the classifieds here on IHPA. If you have any more info on this let me know I am very interested in doin a resto to an older Scout I am more fimiler with Scout iis but really want an older bodystyle Scout. Any help on the subject would be great

Did you end up buying the Scout? I found your post while I was trying to answer the same question, what a red carpet Scout is worth. There's a nice looking one on oklahoma on craigslist right now for $12.5k. I want it, but it looks too nice to use as a daily driver and park outside. 2 tops, 2 hub caps, and some emblems supposedly included. 1965 International Scout 80
