I have a 1969 Scout 800 with a 152, my question is this: is it ok to remove the thermostat completely? Will it improve cooling? I live in social, so my Scout doesn't even have a heater in it...please advise - thanks

No, do not remove the thermostat.
The thermostat is not there to provide heat for a heater.
The thermostat is there to maintain the engine operating temperature at the proper temp.
