The All American Truck Show (May 6) Redwood City, CA

As discussed at the last babs dinner at the diner -

the all American truck show held at sequoia high school in redwood city, CA is right around the corner (May 6th - flyer attached).

I have spoken to the event organizer who was wonderful and willing to give us a price break from $35 to $30 for 5 or more rigs as long as I can get the funds to them by the Thursday before the show. They are also happy to let us come in as a club and rope off an area for all of our rigs to co-locate!

I think this is an excellent opportunity to show the chev, frd, and dodge owners there is another "American" brand that dominates!

This is the same venue used for the horses to horsepower car show and I can say first hand it is a great venue with lots of shady trees over green lawns.

I'm looking to get a confirmed count so I can get a check to the organizers. This means if you say you are going we will expect payment regardless of whether or not you actually show up. Unfortunately we cannot afford to foot the bill for "maybes".

Please only post if you plan to attend as this post is intended to get a headcount. If you cannot make it due to other obligations (e.g. Baseball, school, etc.), go enjoy, but please don’t post your alternate plans in this thread.

I really hope we can make a presence despite the short notification (who knows… perhaps it will become another one of our many annual events).

Any questions, feel free to send me a pm.

Cheers,
cheese

I'm in for 2 trucks. I will bring careys truck as well as mine. Come on guys we need more trucks. What's an all American truck show with out trucks made only with parts made in america.

Chese recuted me to drive one of his rigs fo the show . So I'm thinking I nring my small bbq and cook up some bugers . Ill bring a easy up and some chairs too .
We talked staurday if your sure you can make it let chese know by wensday . He is making the payment Thursday . If your not sure your gonna make it by then you can still show up Sunday it will cost ya 35 insted of $ 30 . You can also show up and just hang out .

Jayson, that is great as we are struggling to get the minimum 5 trucks for the “club” price break. Coming in as a club guarantees us a spot where we can set up some pop-ups and tables and gather all of our trucks together. I'll be going down sat late afternoon to set some things up (pop-ups, tables, banners, etc) / and get our area marked off.

I did talk to the event coordinator and as the show is on a school campus and they have food vendors (like most car shows) there are no bbq's allowed. You are welcome to bring in coolers, food, etc., just no cooking onsite of the show (sorry Joe).

I am super excited about the show and think it will really be a fun day for all. I'm planning to bring a bunch of rally flyers / a few registration forms and whatever other club stuff we can wrangle up to see what sort of interest we can muster up.

The only IH truck running this moment is my 66 4x4 project:
blue, white, green , brown and rust.

Shall I bring it?? It will make yours look good!

I will be paying the event organizer tomorrow around noon (Friday May 4th)! So far I have 9 trucks! I believe we will all get in as "prepaid" which should include the event t-shirt in the $30... It is not too late for those who are interested... You still have tonight and tomorrow morning to let me know!

As of now I have:

dave
jayson
robby
ramon
neil
cheese
Joe
vance
doc

should be lots of fun!

I definatly want to go but my driver has other plans in orville so in order for me to show up I will need to find a driver for my rig..... If I do not attend I will have the cash to cover the charge for my no show.

Hey vance, I certainly hope you can make it. I was paying the organizer when you posted, so you have been counted. (it would be a good place to advertise your sale as well :ciappa:)

You are right about trying to sell it I May also drive my blue rallye insted of the big guy since it shakes like a leaf on the freeway anything over 50 is scary. My blue rallye is not much to look at but its all there I just need to scrounge up a driver to get me there

Joe and I will be leaving my house at 7:30 tomorrow. Anyone who is interested can caravan with us. The gates open at 8:00am and we plan to be there between 8:00 & 8:30.

The gate to get in is off of brewster and not real obvious so hopefully it will be marked.

We have an area marked off so come find us to park.

If they want any registration information tell them you are with the club: babs and they should have a registration with your name.

Being on a school means no alcohol so if you feel inclined anyway be discreet (use a cup).

Cheers,
cheese
