TF 727 rebuild question

I would like to teach myself the fine art of rebuilding auto transmissions. I would like to know if there are any books or other resources out there to familiarize myself with the tear down, inspection, rebuild and tolerances of the process.

Also, what special tools would be needed???

There is a book by carl munroe which is basically the be all end all bible for the 727. Last year mayben and I shot extensive raw video covering tear down, inspection, and rebuild procedures. At this time, only the tear down portion is anywhere close to completion. For the past six months plus, I've been extremely burned out about doing anything video related in my free time as that's what I do for a living every day. Things have been pretty interesting and challenging at the ol' orofice during that span. They still keep paying me which is the most important thing, but a change would do me good. The subject matter of this video is far more fun and interesting than what I deal with on a normal day, its just...I don't know. I just need something to light a fire under my ass in order to get going on it again. That said, even a finished video would not be meant to take the place of a book like munroe's or even the cts manual for that manner. Its meant to be supplemental and entertaining.

The cts manual for a 727 would be just fine for a basic rebuild.

For everything else, then the munroe book is the goto.

And above that...the video which will come out at some point!
