Tenp Gauge ????

Does the sii use a 10-73 ohm temp gauge? Has anyone tried to adapt it into a s80 gauge pod? I'm trying to get the stock gauges back in and working in the goat, and am having some problems getting them to work. Does anyone know if there is a replacement temp gauge for the s80 thats oriented the correct way for the face?

All ihc-produced light line vehicles use the "nominal" 10>73ohm fuel sender value. The replacement fuel tank senders from light line are actually 0>90ohm units that have the float arm set so that will provide the correct range of lift and drop for the gauge to display correctly when actually installed in the tank. If you bench-test a new light line sender you will find the 0>90ohm resistance range.

If the temp gauge is dead, that means the cvr segment built inside the pod is toast. The cvr is not replaceable on those units, a jumper from the temp gauge powers up the fuel gauge pod also, the temp sender also uses a "10>73" range of resistance. This is standard instrumentation practice from that point in time.
