let's start off this forum by posting issues anyone May be having regarding engine cooling and cooling system components.

I'm having trouble location new fan and temperature control switches for the stock under dash unit. Iho Jeff tough you might be able to point me in the right direction if they exist.

I was able to locate a new one of the switch/module that bolts up to the interior of the evaporator box. Turns out it is also used on mack truck applications.

Can you post some pics of exactly the items you need, or at least a pic of the air duct you are using with the switches installed. There are at least two variations of these items...we should have used parts for each of 'em both at ihon and my place. I know I have a couplea sets of the "early" version here that are servicable.

I sent a set of the last "gen" switches (used) and a couplea the large discharge vents out to a bubba down in alabama a month ago. That got his upgraded a/c system workin' real nice.

The electro-mechanical thermoswitch is a common item made by ransco and used for many years on many vehicles, both passenger-type, hd truck, and vocational a/c applications.

Cleaning the grungee oem stuff is many tomes successful, before I send out used parts, I clean and test, then lubricate.

I'll get some pics of the switches next weekend when I am back up at the shop. Mine work fine, I just wanted some new ones (if available) for back up. I have plenty of used ones

the ac unit is a stock under dash unit out of a '77. I have converted the system over to 134 with a sanden type compressor with new lines, condenser, and dryer. The system cools down to 60 degrees at idle on a 100 degree texas day. I still have to it out on the open road to see how it cools with air moving through the condenser.
