t98 with deisel?

What diesels, if any, can be bolted up to a t98 4 speed trannsmition in a 1210 pickup? Would be nice to avoid those pricey transmition adapters.

You wouldn't want too even if it could. Rpm's would be way too high at highway speeds. Need an overdrive tranny to run a diesel right.
