1969 800A. Haven’t really driven much as I rebuilt the diffs and suspension, dana20 trans case. I knew it was not going into park So I tried adjusting the shift cable and determine where park was in relation to where the manual shift shaft needed to be. I cycled the manual shift through the gears including reverse and stopped where I thought park should be but I still had forward rotation at the rear wheels. When I tried moving the manual shift shaft back towards trans case, it’s a no go, acts stuck. Dropped the pan and could see the parking pawl fractured and sliding around on top of the valve body. Beyond that, can the stuck Manual shaft just possibly be a detent ball problem?
